Plans for new Canberra theatre revealed

Fresh details about the long-awaited Canberra theatre project have been revealed.

The London Circuit car park opposite the Sydney Building could become home to a wider arts precinct, featuring a two thousand seat theatre, apartments, shops and a hotel.

The project has a price tag of between 100 and 250 million dollars.

Chief Minister Andrew Barr is hopeful development will commence before the 2024 ACT election.
