Fallout From Government's Decentralisation Plan Continues

The fallout from the Government's decentralisation plan is continuing.
Deputy Prime Minister Barnaby Joyce has moved to dispel fears of widespread job losses in Canberra.
But Deputy Nationals Leader Fiona Nash revealed plans to move the public service to regional Australia at the National Press Club yesterday.
Mr Joyce says there are no plans to move main government departments such as Treasury, out of the capital.
He argues the public service is there to serve Australia, as instructed by parliament.
The Nationals Leader has rejected the argument and says any move, such as the APVMA's to Armidale, must have a cost-benefit rationale.
