High levels of Canberrans leaving the NDIS

Canberrans are leaving the National Disability Insurance Scheme at the highest rate in the country. Figures from the National Disability Insurance Agency show 381 locals have exited the NDIS in the past five years; three times the national average.
Reasons for leaving include the stress involved with having to prove a disability, being left on hold to call centres for hours and being dragged through the courts to appeal funding cuts.
