ACT Health quarterly report released

ACT Health quarterly report released

More data on the ACT's health services has been released today showing mainly positive responses to patient surveys over the entire health system.

ACT Health's Quarterly Performance Report covering July to September this year shows nearly 90% of patients would recommend Canberra Hospital to family and friends with 93% saying they were satisfied with the care provided.

While waiting times at emergency department's are generally higher than other jurisdictions, the data shows minor improvements compared to the last quarter.

However, according to the figures, it seems non-urgent cases are being seen slightly faster than urgent ones - with urgent patients waiting for 53 minutes on average and non-urgent cases 51 minutes.

Despite this, the report shows a nine minute drop in the wait time at walk in centres.
