Spike in flu season for Canberra

Spike in flu season for Canberra

The number of confirmed flu cases in the ACT is five times the amount reported at the same time last year.

738 Canberrans have been diagnosed with influenza in 2019, compared to just 137 cases by this time last year.

Acting chief health officer Kerryn Coleman says authorities can't explain the spike.

Less than five people have died from the flu in the territory.
