Canberra man allegedly held at gunpoint

A Canberra man will face court today, accused of holding a man at gunpoint and assaulting him before dumping him in remote NSW.

The victim was allegedly bashed at a home in Charnwood on Monday, before being taken to another residence in Melba where he was allegedly assaulted again.

Police say the man was then held at gunpoint before being dumped in bushland across the border.

A 30-year-old man will face the ACT Magistrates court today, charged with serious offences including threatening to kill and forcible confinement.
