Prescribed burns happening in Canberra today

ACT Parks and Conservation is planning two prescribed burns today, weather permitting.

The first will be a 20-hectare burn at Point Hut Hill, to reduce fire fuel loads.

The second, at Diddams Close in Belconnen, will cover 8 hectares to reduce the fire hazard of African Lovegrass.

House prices up in ACT

House prices up in ACT

House prices in the ACT have risen modestly in March, up 0.1 per cent.

The data published by Core Logic shows the median house price in Canberra sits just under 700 thousand dollars.

Meanwhile, unit values for March have dipped by 0.4 per cent, with the territory's average unit now worth 434 thousand dollars....
