Deakin man to face court over Christian Lobby carbombing

A Deakin man is set to face court over an alleged attack on the Australian Christian Lobby late last year.

A van packed with gas bottles exploded in the carpark of Eternity House in Deakin on December 21, 2016.

Snowy Hydro expansion more expensive than first thought

It's been revealed the Snowy Hydro expansion could take two years longer and cost $2 billion more than initial estimates.

Company executives have told Fairfax upgrading the power transmission lines running from the mountains into Sydney and Melbourne will cost around $2 billion, effectively doubling the price.

Traffic backed up on Pialligo Avenue after two car collision

Traffic is delayed on Pialligo Avenue this morning following a two car crash.

Firefighters, police and an ambulance are tending to the scene between Oaks Estate Road and Scherger Drive.

No injuries have been reported but police are asking drivers to avoid the area....

Small Fire At Canberra Retirement Village

A small fire in a retirement village in Bruce has been extinguished.

8 fire units arrived at the Calvary Retirement Village on Jaygar Circuit shortly after 4:30 this afternoon.

The blaze had been largely put out by the sprinkler system, with no injuries reported....
