There have been no new cases of COVID-19 recorded in the ACT in the past 24 hours, leaving the ACT’s total at 118. There are no active cases in the ACT.

A total of 115 cases have recovered from COVID-19 in the ACT.

There are no COVID-19 patients in Canberra hospitals.

The ACT has recorded three (3) deaths.

ACT Police execute search warrant on a van, seize weapons and ammunition

ACT Policing executed a search warrant on a vehicle yesterday, seizing two firearms, a 12 gauge shotgun and a .44 calibre rifle as well as a quantity of shotgun shells.

Police warn of ‘unacceptable’ incidents at Canberra check points

A 32-year-old Taylor woman has faced court after allegedly failing to stop at a COVID-19 checkpoint in Canberra’s north.

Another driver is also accused of failing to stop for police at a checkpoint on Lady Denman Drive.

ACT Retail Growth

The Australian Bureau of Statistics data found retail sales increased in the ACT by 2.5 per cent in November.

Despite the rise, the ACT was behind the National average which rose by 7.1 percent.

Victoria saw the biggest growth where retail rose by 22.4 per cent, South Australia was the only state to record a decline by 0.2 per cent in November.
