More services, fewer stops for Canberra's new bus network

Canberra's new bus network will offer more services, but fewer stops when it goes live next January. Dedicated school stops will be traded in most cases for more general services going past Canberra schools, while other routes have been cut to make way for more rapid buses.

David Smith sworn in

David Smith has been sworn in to the federal senate as the new ACT Labor senator.

He entered with Penny Wong and Deputy Leader in the senate, Don Farrell.

He was congratulated by fellow senators after he made an oath on the bible.
