ACT Budget Targets Canberra Nightlife

Small bars in Canberra will enjoy a reduction in licensing fees, after funding was unveiled in the upcoming ACT Budget.

Figures show Canberra principals assaulted every two weeks

The Education Directorate has revealed Canberra's principals are being assaulted once every two weeks.

Fairfax reports across the 87 government schools in the capital, 30 occupational violence incidents were recorded last year - varying in severity from threats and verbal assault to physical injury.

Animals die in Goulburn shed fire

A number of animals have perished in a fire in Goulburn.

A police investigation is underway after the fire broke out yesterday at a property on Grunswell Crescent.
