ACT Rugby Union Club evacuated, black smoke seen in building

Patrons and staff of the ACT Rugby Union Club, on Blackall Street, have been evacuated following a fault in the air conditioning system which produced black smoke within the building.

Hilton has made an unsolicited bid to open a luxury hotel in Canberra.

Details of the project have been made public after it was presented to the ACT government earlier this year.
