Driver hospitalised after crash near Batemans Bay

A 68-year-old woman has been airlifted to Canberra Hospital with serious injuries after crashing down an embankment near Batemans Bay.

Police say a Toyota Prius was travelling east on the Kings Highway when it left the road at around 12:30pm yesterday.

A property owner discovered the crash and called emergency services.

Canberrans now free to travel to all of Sydney

Canberra will have open borders with all of NSW from 3 o’clock this afternoon.

Commonwealth approval for light rail facing further delays

A federal government decision on whether to approve the first stage of light rail to Woden has been delayed until at least next week.

A decision was originally due on January 13, before the deadline was extended to today.

The timeframe to deliver a decision has now been extended again to February 3.

The ACT government has announced plans to invest $2.6 million with homelessness service providers in its upcoming 2020-2021 budget.
