Investigation launched into strip search claims at AMC

An investigation is underway over claims an Aboriginal woman was strip searched in full view of male detainees at the Alexander Maconochie Centre.

The woman, who is a sexual abuse survivor, was on remand when the alleged search took place.

Police appeal for information on Paddys River Collision

ACT Policing is appealing for information following a fatal motorcycle collision at Paddys River.

The crash occurred between Midday and 2.00pm on Sunday the 17th of January.

While police do not currently believe any other vehicles were involved in the incident, the footage showed several other vehicles were on the road before and after the collision.
