Former ACT Liberal Senator Zed Seselja has spoken for the first time since tendering his resignation from Parliament, amid the Liberal leadership crisis. Mr Seselja voted in support of Peter Dutton to replace Malcolm Turnbull as Prime Minister, in an initial attempt at a leadership spill earlier this week.

Measles alert
Health experts are warning people to be on alert for measles, after an infant travelling in New South Wales and the ACT was diagnosed with the infection. The child and its family from South East Asia travelled on a bus, train and ferry last Friday, visiting locations including Circular Quay, Taronga Zoo and Chinatown.

ACT supported wind farm best in Australia
An ACT-supported wind farm located in Victoria has been voted the best performing wind farm in Australia. A report by Windlab has found the Coonooer Bridge farm, which generated renewable electricity for the ACT in 2016, was a national leader in operation.

Light Rail sees daylight
It's been nocturnal till now but recently the light rail has been spotted moving around in Gungahlin during daylight. By October, Canberrans should see the tram moving from end to end on the network.
 
There is even a plan to deliberately derail the vehicle, just to test the emergency response to such a crisis....
