Nothing brings people together like live music, and during 2022, we’re delighted to announce that we’re making the musical experience a more regular part of the Gungahlin Arts program with these special monthly sessions.
Held on the second Saturday of each month, Saturday Afternoon Tunes will brighten up your weekend and encourage you get out and explore the cultural and creative scene of the Gungahlin region.
Whether it’s a summertime picnic by the playground at Yerrabi Pond, or a special presentation at one of our fabulous local businesses, we’ll be out and about and making music throughout the year.
Each month bringing you a diverse range of family-friendly sounds – everything from big bands to indie pop, ensuring that there’s something to tickle everyone’s eardrums as we make our way through 2022.
Afternoon Tunes builds on the great work of the previous Gungahlin music program, Pop Goes the Muso – which was instigated and curated by local musician Dylan Elks. In this new iteration brings you a bigger range of musical acts, from all musical corners of our community, as well as inviting local musicians to submit expressions of interest to play.
