140 new trees set to be planted as part of Light Rail extension works

More than 140 new trees are set to be planted as part of the Light Rail Stage 2A extension from Alinga Street to Commonwealth Park.

A new Tree Plantings Map has been shared, with provides an interactive guide to the urban treescape planned for the city, including the location of new trees, the species selected and the environmental benefits.

The trees are already growing at Yarralumla nursery enabling advanced trees to be planted as part of the project.
