15-Year-Old Faces Court over Traffic Charges

A 15-year-old boy allegedly ran through a red light, drove on the wrong side of the road without a licence and collided with another car.

The boy appeared before the ACT Children’s Court this week – and had allegedly made previous breaches for other crimes on more than 20 occasions.

The magistrate was dumbfounded when reading out the charges and asked the teenager how he could drive a car.

The teenager was refused bail and remanded in custody until January 11 when he is expected to next appear in court.
