The A.C.T. Government has changed its target for zero emission bus vehicles to enter Transport Canberra’s fleet.

The change is all because of the delayed arrival of electric buses.

60 zero emission buses were targetted for service by 2024-25

It’s been cut to 56…

But Transport Minister CHRIS STEEL says there’s no change to the ultimate target, of a 100 percent zero emissions bus fleet, by the year 2040…. if not, earlier.

Going back even further, A 2020 transition plan, included a minimum of 80 electric buses on the road by the 2024-25 period.
