A.C.T. Energy Support Program

The expansion of the ACT energy support program is expected to assist eligible Canberra households.

Under the Home Energy Support program, eligible households will get $2500 cash back for the installation of electric appliances.

The ACT government has also introduced a pilot program – to provide energy relief for Canberra residents – suffering serious illness, offering up to $10,000 to the homes of 20 people – with plans to expand the program – beyond the pilot, in the future.

The Territory’s Energy Emissions Minister Shane Rattenbury says the program will assist those on lower incomes to reduce their energy bills amid an inequality crisis.
