The ACT Greens will sit on the crossbench in the Legislative Assembly, after failed talks with ACT Labor.

On paper, Labor’s Andrew Barr will have the Greens’ support to remain as chief minister – However, Labor will enter minority government.

Greens leader Shane Rattenbury has written to Mr Barr offering confidence and supply for the government, , in exchange for Labor’s backing on several key Greens policies.

The decision for the greens to sit on the crossbench follows two weeks of talks with A.C.T. Labor – which the Greens say, Labor failed to deliver enough of a commitment to adress some of their big issues.
