A.C.T. Health faces potential new threat

Incentives are being thrown at Canberra doctors to pack up and leave the A.C.T. as Queensland tries to attract more health workers for the Sunshine State.

The Queensland Government is offering up to 20-thousand dollars to eligible workers willing to relocate and work for Queensland Health.

Those who take up a regional or remote position will receive up to 70-thousand dollars.

Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk says it’s a significant investment totalling $21-million to sway interstate health professionals to move to the Sunshine State.

A similar move has also been announced for Police recruits to move to Queensland.
