Several Canberrans are celebrating today after being named as part of this year’s Kings Birthday Honours List.

Canberra local MARGARET FINKDLATER SMITH receives a MEDAL of the Order of Australia for her service to womens affairs… and community work.

Gregory Aldridge from FLYNN receives a Medal aswell, for service to community health.

Barbara Bowen’s been honoured with a medal for service to the community of Canberra.

Esther Davies receives ORDER of Australia – for service to community history for working with the Canberra and District Historical society.

Other notable mentions include Margaret Smith from Kambah – and Canberra Doctor CHI WING LAI.
