The A.C.T. Government has highlighted the importance of social and public housing projects being on track.

A construction project to establish nine social housing units for vulnerable women in Ainslie started earlier this week.

Housing Spokeswoman Yvette Berry says frivolous and vexatious claims should not delay social and public housing projects.

The ACT government has indicated social and public housing properties, such as the Ainslie units, are likely to be considered as priority projects under the proposed planning act.

Under the new act, ” priority projects” will not be allowed to be the subject of third-party reviews.
