The ACT has recorded its first road fatality for 2025 following a collision between a car and cyclist on Northbourne Avenue..

About 9.20pm (Tuesday, 11 March 2025), police and emergency services received calls that a car had collided with a bicycle near the intersection of Murdoch Street and Northbourne Avenue.

Sadly, the cyclist, a 70-year-old man, was declared deceased at the scene.

ACT Road Policing’s Major Collision Team is investigating the circumstances of the collision and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.
