The A.C.T. looks set to have – “a right to a healthy environment”.
The territory’s Human rights Minister TARA CHEYNE has made the commitment – while tabling in the Assembly – a summary of consultation conducted this year.
The consultation found community members and organisations emphasised the importance of a healthy and sustainable environment to all aspects of life, and for future generations.

Issues will be investigated and worked through next year.
– The right to a healthy environment will be part of a public forum on Friday week.
It’ll be held at the A.C.T. Human Rights Commission in Civic noon to 1:30pm on December 9th.
