It’ll take another six weeks before we may learn the name of a high profile man, accused of rape in Queensland.

Earlier this week, the man’s lawyer appeared in a Toowoomba court, but the judge deferred the case pending further evidence and procedure.

The man in question is accused of raping a woman in October 2021.

Under Queensland law, media is prohibited from naming people accused of rape unless they’re committed to stand trial.
