The ACT Government has announced its latest budget measure, this time allocating funding to improve the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the capital.

The Budget delivers a package of initiatives in partnership with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community, investing across healthcare, education, housing, cultural projects, and governance

Funding will go towards perinatal mental health, boosting the health workforce, supporting the Yerrabi Yurwang Housing Australia Future Fund and strengthening oversight of justice system reforms.

The Government will hand down the full budget next month.
