The ACT Government will look at initiating a compensation scheme for people who suffer mesothelioma, a complication brought on by Mr Fluffy loose-fill asbestos.

Chief Minister Andrew Barr will approach the Federal Government to fund the scheme, but at this stage, it’s not yet known how much money would be required.

The ACT Government will also consider individual cases.
