The ACT Greens are calling on the government to look beyond short term policy and deliver structural change and investment that reduces Canberran’s reliance on ‘expensive vehicles’ and delivers what they call ‘real cost of living relief’.

Andrew Braddock, ACT Greens spokesperson for Transport, says Canberra desperately needs more clean, reliable public transport.

“This budget is an opportunity for Labor to show Canberrans they are being heard – and that their struggles during a cost-of-living and fuel crisis are not falling on deaf ears,” Mr Braddock says.

The party are hoping to see funding in the budget allocated to better develop the public transport network and for more incentives to be delivered for people to choose cleaner alternatives like VS, e-bikes and e-scooters.
