ACT Greens to call for inquiry into drug harm minimisation

The ACT Greens will call for an inquiry into drug harm minimisation in response to the overwhelming community feedback to proposed drug law reform.

A bill to decriminalise small amounts of drugs like heroin, ice and MDMA will be introduced to the ACT Parliament next year.

Greens MLA Johnathan Davis is now proposing a Legislative Assembly committee inquiry into drug harm minimisation.

He says increased support for the ACT Greens at the election proves the community is ready to have a serious conversation about decriminalising drugs in Canberra.
