A 40 year old Canberra man has been killed in a motorbike accident in the Southern Tablelands.

Emergency services were called to the single vehicle crash around 40 kilometres south of Goulburn at about 10:30 yesterday morning.

Police have been told the rider was travelling with a group of motorcyclists when he left the road and crashed into a tree.
