Paramedics in Canberra are set to receive new Immersive Training in a bid to tackle Occupational Violence.

Through realistic simulations, staff can develop situational awareness and decision-making skills before encountering similar situations in the field.

A key focus of the latest training capability is preparing paramedics to recognise, assess and respond to occupational violence and aggression.

The Blended Learning Interactive Simulation Suite (BLISS) transforms a traditional classroom into an interactive 270-degree training environment. It combines projection technology and dynamic learning experiences to recreate realistic scenarios that paramedics would face daily, in a controlled setting.

Beyond frontline training, the BLISS will also support recovery and return to work pathways, providing a safe environment for paramedics to rebuild confidence and refresh operational skills after injury or other workplace challenges.
