Brindabella MLA Mark Parton has reportedly been fined one thousand dollars for breaching WA’s border restrictions.

The ACT’s Deputy Speaker was in Western Australia for two days before realising he was breaking the rules.

Mr Parton travelled to WA on Monday after calling the races in Queanbeyan on Boxing Day.

Under WA’s border rules, anyone who has been in New South Wales in the past two weeks is not allowed to enter the state without an exemption.
