The ACT Government looks set to follow the steps of New South Wales, as it prepares to allow general practitioners to diagnose and prescribe medication for ADHD.

The Government across the border announced it would allow some GPs to diagnose and medicate children from early next year, with adults to follow.

A spokesperson has stated, the government is in the planning stages of the changes, to be followed by stakeholder engagement and consultation.
