Assisted Dying

The Government has four months to respond to the report into the A.C.T.’s voluntary assisted dying legislation.

The report is practially clear cut with 27 recommendations

Human Rights Minister Tara Cheyne says the report also suggests clearer definitions for certain terms under the legislation, including a person needing to have an ”advanced” condition, and be in the ”last stages of life”.

She says many recommendations had already been identified.
