Belconnen Car Fire

Police are investigating a suspicious car fire in Belconnen.

The drama began yesterday afternoon in Latham.

Police found a black Hyundai Kona SUV with stolen plates.

Police deployed stop sticks in an effort to stop the vehicle, however it continued to drive with deflated tyres and failed to stop.

Officers decided NOT to pursue the vehicle due to safety concerns.

Last night, the vehicle was found on fire in Grazier Lane Belconnen

All nearby apartment blocks were evacuated…
