A 39‑year‑old Belconnen man has been charged following an investigation into the manufacture of 3D‑printed firearms.

ACT Policing and New South Wales Police identified a man allegedly involved in creating and supplying 3D printed firearms.

About 3:20pm May 13, officers executed two search warrants at homes in Howie Court, Belconnen.

During the searches, officers seized a range of items, including 3D printed firearms, 3D printer parts, a taser and extendable baton and gel blasters.

The 39-year-old resident of one of the homes has been charged with unauthorised manufacture of firearm, unauthorised possession/use of 10 or more firearms and possession of ammunition.

Police say further charges are expected to be laid.
