A 22-year-old Belconnen man has been charged after he allegedly bound and assaulted a man in a Reid unit
Police were called to a complex on Ainslie Avenue just after 9am on December 23 after workers heard a man calling for help.
Officers were directed to the unit and the door was answered by a man and a woman, with calls heard from a second man.
The man and woman allegedly fled the scene by jumping of a first-floor balcony.
The 22-year old man was arrested a short distance away, while the woman was unable to be located.
Officers entered the unit, finding the second man with his hands tied, mouth gagged and covered in a blanket with stab wounds to his chest.
The Belconnen man was charged and will face the ACT Magistrates Court on December 24.
