The N.D.I.S. Minister has described the Canberra based SERVICES AUSTRALIA as the underdog of portfolios.
Bill Shorten says the agency, which handles Medicare and Centrelink – had shrunk over the last decade – as Labour was outsourced.
He’s welcomed a near two-billion dollar injection to rebuild its capability over the next couple of years…. and says he’s “Always for the underdog”.
The funding will go towards 3,000 new staff, announced in November last year… and he says NEW hires are already making a difference.
