Canberra based researchers say they’re excited about a breakthrough in bowel cancer research… but admit, a cure could still be another two decades away.

New research from the Australian National University has found a protein called KU 70 could be the main reason to prevent bowel cancer and it could be as simple as mixing up new and existing medications….

However, the method is still in its testing stage, before human trials could begin..

Canberra based Professor SI MING MAN says such trials could take between 10 and 20 years.

He says we all have the protein.. .- but every body’s got a different amount
