Local business owners in the City say cost of living pressures were behind a slump in sales in 20-23.

Braddon businesses in particular reported fewer people walking through their doors, but owners maintain they’re cautiously optimistic about the year ahead.

Braddon United Retailers and Traders Spokesperson Kel Watt says the first half of the week have recorded low trade numbers but it picks up on a Thursday night and Saturday.
