Several buildings have been evacuated at Civic Square after a suspicious package was found.

It’s also forced the Legislative Assembly to close its public entrance.

ACT Policing say the evacuations were ordered as a precaution.

London Circuit remains open, but motorists and pedestrians are being asked to avoid the area if possible.

Police say there’s no threat to the wider community.
