Bigger safety screens will be retro-fitted on Canberra’s bus fleet.

The A.C.T. Government’s agreed to stronger safety measures, in the wake of last Friday’s bus strike.

The action was called, after the most recent safety issue… according to the Transport Workers union, in which a bucket of fish heads was poured over a driver.

The union says… it was the tipping point… along with drivers who’ve been spat on… or who’ve received death threats.

Larger protective screens are being installed on buses over the coming week.
