The Greens are accusing the A.C.T. Transport minister of continually ignoring claims by Canberra bus drivers – over safety issues.
The comment comes after a snap strike last Friday, called by the Transport Workers Union.
The T-W-U says the action was an “expression of frustration” from drivers who
don’t feel safe in the workplace, due to on-going incidents onboard buses.
In one case, it’s claimed fish-heads were thrown on a driver.
But Transport Canberra’s IAN McGLINN says protections are in place.
Since the stoppage, new safety screens are being installed on buses.
