Canberra Airport in race to secure flights to New Zealand

The race is on for Canberra to become the first destination in Australia to establish a two-way travel bubble with New Zealand.

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has announced her country will allow Australians in next year, without the need to quarantine.

An exact date is yet to be finalised.

Canberra Airport is now in talks with Qantas, Virgin Australia and Air New Zealand about setting up flights to Wellington.
