A Canberra woman will face court in Yass next month after being charged with high range drink driving.

The 36-year-old was allegedly eight times the legal limit when she drove her car into a ditch on the Barton Highway on Sunday afternoon.

Police say the woman, who was the only person in the car, returned a roadside reading of 0.416.
