Canberra will soon lose ANOTHER type of aircraft that’s being phased out by QantasLink.

Just last week, we heard the Q300 prop aircraft had been retired from the QantasLink Fleet.

It was widely used between Canberra and Sydney.

NOW it’s the Fokker 100 jet aircraft…

It could sometimes be seen at Canberra airport on a flight to another capital city, but often used in the west.

The jet will be replaced by the fuel efficient Embraer 190 jet – as part of the carrier’s fleet renewal program.

The first of the jets is due to arrive later next year.
