The latest Australian Institute of Health and Welfare report has revealed Canberra continued to have the worst emergency department wait times in 2019-20.

Only 48 per cent of Canberra patients were seen on time which was well below the national average of 74 per cent

It follows a reduction in emergency wait times in every state and territory as COVID-19 saw the number of hospital visits drop.
