Fears have been raised, smaller Independent A.C.T. based businesses are being left behind – and could go bust, as economic uncertainty forces the Bigger operators to use their cash reserves to survive.

A company called VANTAGE PERFORMANCE that specialises in turning around businesses – has started to ring the alarm bells.

Chief executive MICHAEL FINGLAND says – small, independent operators… once the pride of the local community… will go bust over the next year or so….

he says conditions have been SO tough, they don’t have the cash reserves to weather the storm, that bigger businesses have been able to.

Canberra is no exception – The Council of Small Business Organisations says immediate action needs to be taken to level the playing field.
