Canberra United Seeks New Boss

Canberra United is now on the hunt for a new CEO.

Now outgoing CEO Ivan Slavich offered his resignation to the board last weekend, according to reports from the Canberra Times.

It comes after he issued an ultimatum over the scrapping of the controversial Canberra United Academy women’s program.

The Academy was a program labelled a ”pathway for talented footballers in Canberra”, but was slammed by local clubs.

Mr Slavich told the audience at an awards ceremony that he would hand in his resignation if the decision to scrap the program was not reversed.

The board will now meet to talk about what the future holds.
