A new report shows Canberra now has the country’s worst worker shortage out of all the capital cities.

The details emerged from recruiting firm “Horizon One” which found Consulting firms were hardest hit.

A large part of the problem appears to be that only Australian citizens were eligible for most of the jobs.

With the jobless rate at a low figure of 3.1 percent,  employers are facing grim times finding workers.

Another problem seems to be that once a job is filled,  another employer steals the worker just weeks later.

The report also found,  hourly rate positions will dry up,  with greater preference on top candidates considering better paid full time positions.
